#6 – The Lost Comics Documentary
In 1978 the Canadian TV Show ‘Behind The Scene’ produced a 20-minute documentary focusing on the comic book business with footage shot at Marvel & DC offices featuring luminaries of the day like Stan Lee, Neal Adams, and Jim Steranko.

This presentation was hosted by John Siuntres (host of the Word Balloon Podcast) and was truly a lost gem.  A copy of the film was recovered by a friend of John’s and he presented it to the audience at SDCC.  Unfortunately they have been unable to track down the actual copyright owner to get permission for wider distribution/viewership of this lost gem.  I’m seriously glad I was at SDCC and had the opportunity to see this.

My thanks go out to Siuntres and I hope they’re able to figure out the copyright issues one day so that this lost treasure can be viewed by a wider audience!
