#5 – San Diego Comic-Con Mobile App
I’ve used this in past years and it’s been nothing to write home about.  This year it had a major overhaul and was a completely essential tool for me throughout the convention (I used it on my Samsung Galaxy S5).

As always, I did some planning in advance reading up on the panels I wanted to attend, booths I wanted to visit, and creators I wanted to talk to (who had booth locations).  I then used the App and marked them all as “My Favorites”, adding additional notes to publisher booths with creators signing times and exclusives I might want to pick up from them.

Throughout the con I’d check “My Favorites” to see where I wanted to be at any given time.  I was also able to bring up the searchable map and find out where any booth or room was in relation to where I was at that time.  I used the App every hour or 2 throughout the con and never even cracked open the paper event guide for the first time in 24 years.

Great job, SDCC!!
